Honoring and remembering our veterans is very important to the Naperville Cemetery. Click

After a veteran’s death, Naperville Cemetery can assist the family in applying to the U.S. government for
a bronze name plaque or medallion. The plaque or medallion is free, but there is a small installation fee.
The plaque can be attached to the back of a monument or attached to a piece of granite and installed flush
with the ground. The medallion is affixed on the mausoleum or columbarium between the dates of birth and death.
A memorial was built in 2012 and dedicated on November 11, 2012. The memorial consists of five granite monoliths
representing each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces surrounded by a patio of commemorative bricks. To recognize a
living or deceased veteran’s service, you may purchase a personalized brick for installation in the fall before
Veterans Day, November 11. The veteran does not have to be buried in the Naperville Cemetery. To inquire about or
order a commemorative brick, please contact the office.
